Descripción
Portraiture reached its apogee during the Roman Empire and military prowess was a valued attribute. I subvert the monument by placing these world leaders on the contemporary equivalent of the marble pedestal in the form of metal missiles. There has been a lot of rhetoric in the media that has all of us preoccupied that World War III might be just around the corner. Each missile is custom made to fit each leader's personality. Trump's is the widest to go with his girth. Putin's is the color of gunmetal with fins like an assassin's knife blade, while Kim's is the color of an oriental skyrocket. The counter- monument becomes a monument in a parody of my own subversion.
